Requirements
The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment can be made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.
Responsibilities
We adhere to the national guidance on pre-employment checks, specifically “Safer Recruitment Through Better Recruitment”. During the application process, candidates should provide details of at least two appropriate references, including one from their current or most recent employer, which must be from an appropriate senior manager. References from peers at the same level are not accepted.

The Individual
This is a permanent full-time position based at the Robert Burns Academy, within the Barony Campus, Cumnock. The role involves 35 hours per week, with working hours directed by the line manager. The salary range is £40,305 - £50,589 per annum.
