Job Title: Research Associate - PHKH (Data) School: School of Psychology - Bamford Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing Campus: Belfast Salary: Research Grade 6/7 (£33,020 - £36,654 per annum) Closing Date: 14 June 2026 Reference Number: 042486 (Fixed-Term until 31 March 2029 / Full-Time) - ABOUT US - We are a university with a national and international reputation for excellence, innovation and regional engagement, making a major contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of Northern Ireland. Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE – In partnership with the All-Ireland Institute for Public Health, the Bamford Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing at Ulster University, and the Global Brain Health Institute at Trinity College Dublin has been awarded a PEACEPLUS grant of €2.4 million for a 3-year project to develop an All-Island Public Health Knowledge Hub. The postholder will lead on survey design and the development and validation of questions, and they will have responsibility for data analysis, reports and articles. The postholder will ensure data accuracy, harmonisation, and comparability across both primary and secondary datasets in Ireland and Northern Ireland that will form part of the PHKH (Public Health Knowledge Hub), the All-Island Institute of Public Health (IPH). This project is supported by PEACEPLUS, a programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). This role is based in Northern Ireland. Routine working in the Republic of Ireland is not required. Occasional travel for meetings may arise, but it is not a core requirement of the role. - ABOUT YOU - 1. You will hold a PhD (awarded or near completion with thesis submitted) with a strong statistical analysis focus. 2. You will be able to demonstrate advanced statistical knowledge with experience in health or related areas. 3. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of data harmonisation methods.
