We are looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant to join our academy, to support pupils with SEND and to ensure that every child succeeds.
Key responsibilities
* Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
* Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
* Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment in accordance with lesson plans and assist with the display of pupils' work
* Monitor pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement and progress as directed
Pay range: Scale Point Range 8-13 - Actual Salary £23,592.44 - £25,562.59 (Full Time Equivalent £26,824.00 - £29,064.00)
Qualifications and Skills
* TA2 Qualification or equivalent
* Maths & English GCSE Grades A-C (or equivalent)
* Relevant experience in a similar role
* Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
* Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills
