Site-Based Geotechnical Engineer (Earthworks Focus) Outside IR35 Role Overview The Site-Based Geotechnical Engineer will provide on-site technical oversight and support for earthworks operations, ensuring that construction activities comply with design specifications, geotechnical recommendations, and relevant standards. The role requires close coordination with construction teams, subcontractors, and designers to manage ground-related risks and ensure quality, safety, and programme delivery. Key Responsibilities Technical & Site Oversight Provide geotechnical supervision of earthworks activities including excavation, fill placement, compaction, and ground improvement. Interpret geotechnical reports, drawings, and specifications for site implementation. Monitor ground conditions and identify deviations from expected conditions. Advise site teams on excavation stability, slope design, temporary works, and dewatering requirements.
