Band 5 to 6 Speech and Language Therapists
Are you newly qualified and looking to start your first role as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT)? Or an experienced Band 5 looking for a new opportunity, challenge and to develop specialist clinical skills? Do you have a passion for supporting children and young people with SLCN?
Due to new investment this year, Children & Young People’s Therapies at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is growing. We want to recruit enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 5 SLTs with a view to moving to Band 6 after transition to full clinical autonomy.
We have posts available across Hertfordshire including Watford, St Albans, Waltham Cross, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead and Hertford.

Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and intervention to children and young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
* Work across mainstream schools, early years settings and community clinics.
* Collaborate with education staff and work alongside experienced therapists in special schools.
* Develop clinical skills in ASD, DLD, speech disorders and cleft palate.
* Participate in joint working and second opinions from clinical specialists within the service.
Qualifications & Experience
Successful candidates will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. Good communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills are essential. You must be a team player but also able to work autonomously and champion the needs of your patients.
A full valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes are essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
