SEND Tutor and Teacher role requirements
* Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way
* Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
* Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
* Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
* Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
* Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
The SEND Tutor and Teacher role and responsibilities
* Provide tuition: In person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs, including MLD, SLD, PMLD, and other Additional Educational Needs
* Support pupils: Referred by local authorities and schools, plan and deliver flexible, trauma‑informed tutoring and mentoring for KS1‑KS5 students as appropriate for your skills
* Plan and report: For lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
* Mission: Raise the standard of education for young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and PMLD; support children and young people on their learning journey
SEND Tutor and Teacher employment status
* This position involves engaging with us on a self‑employed basis, as and when opportunities arise
