Job purpose:
As part of the team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations, internal controls and in safeguarding the Councils’ assets. You’ll collaborate with auditees, conduct thorough audits, assess risks, and ensure compliance with regulations at all three authorities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
1. To assist with the planning and execution of audits, evaluate systems, controls and compliance and identify areas for improvement.
2. Collaborate with auditors to execute audit engagements, assess risks, and document findings, making use of systems and methods to meet the required deadlines.
3. Providing advice and guidance on the Council’s policies and procedures as needed.
