Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation - Law Firm Location: Liverpool Street, City of London Salary: £95,000 - £135,000 per annum exceptional package Hunter Executive Search is pleased to be able to recruit a Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation for a leading law firm specialising in local authority, planning, regulatory, energy, rail, and property development law. The client is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation to join their Senior Leadership Team. The firm operates from multiple locations around the UK and is included in the Legal 500 Index. They now wish to appoint a Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation to improve the provision of technology, lead technology innovation, promote a more agile working environment, and make sure the law firm has the best working environment in the sector. Responsibilities of the Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation: - The Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation will develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap aligned with business goals, with a strong emphasis on emerging legal technology and AI tools. - Direct key projects, including legal technology integration, device refresh, improve facilities, improve the ability to work remotely, and manage asset management renewals. - Provide strategic IT management and innovation initiatives for the firm, overseeing all IT operations, project delivery, and vendor management in the delivery of a modern, cloud-first environment and facilities. - Chair and merge the AI Committee and the Innovation Committees into a single executive committee, with a remit to explore and embed secure AI use cases, including the use of Microsoft Copilot. - Develop a robust and scalable IT security architecture, conducting risk assessments, and creating internal policies and disaster recovery plans. - Mentor and develop the internal IT team and collaborate with firm-wide stakeholders to optimise workflows. - The Head of IT, Facilities and Innovation will need to build trusted relationships with senior lawyers, some of who are recognised to be leading experts and SMEs in their field - Oversee the maintenance and operations of the law firm's facilities, including building maintenance, support services, and security. - Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring that expenses are kept within budgetary constraints. - Supervise and lead a separate team of facilities staff, including maintenance workers, cleaning staff, and security personnel, to ensure a safe and functional work environment for employees. - Implement and monitor health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with regulations and to minimise the risk of accidents or injuries within the workplace. - Collaborate with other departments, such as IT and procurement, to support their facility-related needs and ensure effective communication and coordination across the organisation. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the facilities department, contributing to overall efficiency and productivity within the law firm. Requirements: - Demonstrate proven experience in leading IT and innovation initiatives in a professional services environment, preferably within the legal sector. - Possess strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex transformation projects from inception to completion. Be someone who can deliver change, as well as being able to keep the lights on. - Experience in vendor management, IT security, and strategic IT planning, ideally with experience as a Head of IT or Head of Facilities. - Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team of people, with headcount remit covering IT, support, facilities and innovation. - Possess knowledge of emerging legal technology and AI tools as a Head of IT or Head of Facilities.
