As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you’ll play an important part in delivering high‑quality financial insight across our multi‑channel retail business. You’ll support monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering activities, helping to ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and commercially meaningful. Please note, as part of our Seasalt Connected approach to ways of working, this role will be based flexibly across our Cornwall head office locations (minimum 40% of working week) and remotely within the UK. You’ll help us by: Conducting monthly analysis and maintaining, enhancing, and developing reporting tools that support effective business partnering, accurate financial results, and seamless forecasting. Overseeing monthly accruals and prepayments to ensure data accuracy. Investigating and understanding the reason behind any variances. Assisting in the preparation of the monthly reporting pack by providing analysis and commentary for key areas of the business that is easily understood and can be used to drive actionable insights. Accurate and timely reporting of deliverables within the team. Assisting the Commercial Finance Manager with the annual budgeting process, and quarterly reforecasts. Assisting the Commercial Finance Manager to ensure budget holders are provided with key financial information to assist in financial-decision making, including budget reports, project appraisal, ROI analysis and ad-hoc reporting. Building and maintaining partnerships and strong relationships with senior managers and their teams. Communicating financial data to non-finance professionals to enable key stakeholders to understand and assess financial performance and to make future decisions. The skills you’ll be sharing with the team: Experience in a commercial finance, management accounting, or a business partnering environment. Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret and simplify financial information. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excel knowledge. You do not see yourself as a ‘typical accountant’ but a sociable and diligent finance business partner. Highly numerate, with strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non‑finance colleagues. A proactive problem‑solver with a can‑do mindset. Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build trust and credibility quickly. Ability to translate operational insights into meaningful financial analysis.
