TITLE

Restaurant Manager

REPORTING TO

Food & Beverage Manager

SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the highest level of service, food quality, and guest satisfaction. This role involves managing staff, coordinating with the Kitchen team, handling financial performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Restaurant Manager role requires:

7. Ensure a smooth and efficient running of the restaurant
8. Build and maintain a strong and efficient team and deliver training and development to them
9. Operate the department with positive financial results by controlling costs and maximising revenue generation.
10. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of products, menus, beverages and equipment.
11. Regularly inspect equipment and ensure that they are well-maintained and in good working order.
12. Implement and maintain high-quality standards as they relate to sanitation and cleanliness.
13. Liaise with wine and beverage suppliers to create and maintain in-house menus.
14. Undertake Duty Manager shifts as the business requires.
15. Develop and enforce standard operating procedures.
16. Maintain a visible presence on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction.
17. Ensure that food quality, presentation, and consistency meet the restaurant’s high standards.
18. Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract and retain guests.

PROFITABILITY:

19. Analyse and review monthly P&L to ascertain the profitability of the department.
20. Work with Hotel Manager and finance team to maximise income at every opportunity.
21. Monitor and manage control costs within the department.
22. Work with the Financial Controller to ensure GPs are maintained in the department.
23. Enforce all pre-check and check control procedures, billing, and sales translating to revenue.
