SEN Teaching Assistant – Role/ Key responsibilities
7. Monitor and record progress and provide feedback to teachers, SENCOs and parents
8. Commitment to safeguarding protocols
9. Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs
10. Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching methods
11. Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment
12. Aid in educational development
13. Ability to identify issues in pupils learning
14. Work closely with class teachers to implement individual education plans and adapt lessons to meet student needs
SEN Teaching Assistant – Essential requirements
15. SEND experience
16. Previous work experience in a school
17. A caring and patient approach with strong communication skills
18. Knowledge of strategies for supporting children with a range of learning difficulties
19. Right to work in the UK
20. Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willing to get one
