An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Structural Support Solutions business as a Technical Sales Representative for the South London area.
Established in 1981, MGF is a market leader in the design, manufacture, hire, and sale of temporary works equipment for the construction industry. Employing over 440 staff, we operate nationally from 14 locations, manufacturing our own equipment, operating our transport fleet, and having an in-house engineering team that produces design solutions to meet customer requirements.
Our Structural Support Solutions business provides engineering support and hire of specialist equipment to temporarily support existing and new structures during construction and refurbishment. Our goal is to disrupt an established market and grow our business by introducing innovative products and providing service excellence through a dedicated division. We are seeking an experienced sales professional to drive and develop this exciting area of our business.
The Role
Technically minded with an interest in civil engineering and construction, you will work as part of the Structural Support Solutions sales team promoting our market-leading UniShore product range and delivering service excellence that is central to MGF culture.
You will leverage your sales experience to identify new projects and customers, conduct site visits to consult and propose safe, cost-effective structural support solutions, and build sustainable long-term relationships with customers. Collaboration with all MGF divisions will be essential to maximize business, ensure high customer service levels, and meet performance standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Establishing and growing the SSS business in the South London region in line with the business strategy.
2. Collaborating with consulting engineers and customers throughout the construction process to promote the UniShore range and secure profitable business.
3. Delivering profitable growth within your territory by developing new orders and managing existing accounts, focusing on both account and project management.
4. Understanding budget calculations and related figures, such as customer spend.
5. Maintaining high customer service standards, even outside your assigned territory.
Ideal Candidate
Should have:
* Experience in technical sales within the construction industry, preferably in temporary works.
* Technical qualification or experience in solution-based sales.
* Ability to read drawings and understand the construction process.
* Skill in selling solutions and building long-term relationships.
* Territory planning and customer management experience.
* Good presentation skills.
* Team player attitude with strong relationship-building skills internally and externally.
