Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. Duties
* Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes
* Assist in the development of new pastry recipes and menu items
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
* Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as necessary
* Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
Experience
* Proven experience in food production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on baking and pastry techniques
* Familiarity with food safety standards and practices
* Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential
* Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
