We are currently seeking a committed, friendly and hands-on Caretaker to join a thriving and welcoming primary school in Bristol. About the Role
• Opening and securing the school buildings and grounds
• Completing minor repairs, maintenance, cleaning and DIY tasks
• Ensuring play areas and external spaces are safe, tidy and well maintained
• Monitoring heating, lighting, alarms and building systems
• Conducting daily health & safety checks across the school site
• Setting up halls, classrooms and equipment for lessons and events
• Liaising with contractors and assisting with planned works
• Supporting staff and leadership with operational needs
You will be a visible and friendly presence on site, interacting daily with staff, parents and pupils.
Experience and Qualifications
• Previous caretaking or maintenance experience desirable
• Good practical and problem-solving skills
• Reliable, approachable and community-minded
• Understanding of safeguarding and H&S requirements
• Ability to work independently and use initiative
Salary
Paid according to local support staff scale.
