Our in-house team of creatives, do-ers, dreamers, and makers work collaboratively to create unique products and to deliver an exceptional customer experience for those who dare to stand out from the crowd.

As part of the Print Design team, you'll help drive the creation of unique, trend-led designs which infuse each seasonal collection with a feminine whimsigoth, and elevated grunge edge which is defined by unconventional silhouettes, textured layers and fabrics. Refined yet rebellious our brand's identity and our customers are at the epicentre of Disturbia. We are looking for someone who consistently defies expectations, not just by meeting them but by reimagining what's possible.
Key Responsibilities
Our aesthetic is rooted in the whimsical, dark romantic, and esoteric — think celestial motifs, folk magic, alchemical symbols, dreamy botanicals, and vintage occult references. We're looking for someone who can turn these inspirations into captivating, wearable designs that enchant and empower.
This is the perfect opportunity for a passionate, motivated, highly creative, and experienced embroidery designer with a track record of success, looking to further their career.
The successful candidate should aim to meet the following capability requirements: · An understanding of the brand aesthetic, customer demographic and brand competitors. · An awareness of the push and pull factors behind sales. · Confident in designing original all-over and placement embroideries, embellishments and motifs aligned with our brand aesthetic · Translating mystical and esoteric themes into fresh, wearable and timeless collectables. · Creating seamless repeats and preparing accurate, production-ready artwork · Supporting seasonal concept development through mood boards and research · Collaborating closely with internal design and production teams as well as external suppliers and factories, to ensure best quality and alignment across collections · Keeping up with niche fashion trends, folkloric references, and symbolic art and alternative subculture social calendars. · Creating a technique swatch library and 3D artwork references to inspire internal and external partners. · Managing print and embroidery archive and administration alongside the wider Print team.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for what Disturbia is aiming to achieve as an organisation and the ability to be decisive, open and specific, whilst promoting acceptance, inclusion and respect.
They should be an organised, fast learner and be dynamic in their approach as they will need to react quickly to an ever-evolving business.
Finally, they will be charismatic and confident, as well as comfortable interacting with different teams and project requirements.
Skills:
· A degree in Textile design or a related field is preferred. · 3+ years of experience in textile or embroidery design, ideally within a fashion or a lifestyle brand with a strong visual identity · A portfolio that shows a love for magical, symbolic, or nature-inspired themes, and a dark edge. · Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (hand-drawing/illustration skills and experience working with print and graphics are a big plus) · Competency using Wacom tablet · An eye for detail, pattern flow, colour palettes, and storytelling through design · Ability to balance creative expression with commercial awareness · Confident working within an agile and fast-paced environment; · Passion for alternative fashion, folklore, the occult, or mythological themes and conducting independent research · Skilled in machine embroidery, beading techniques, proven experience working with factories in the Far East and India.
