The Testing Delivery Manager will ensure that each System C social care solution being tested has a detailed testing delivery plan, working in collaboration with Business Analysts, to deliver this strategy, ensuring that there is full coverage of each service design area.
The Testing Delivery Manager will have responsibility for reporting on test activities at the end of each testing round coordinating the agile project delivery and ensuring key staff in the testing process are directed, detailing lessons learnt and recommendations for changes to strategy and/or plans through escalation to the Programme Board.
Key Responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement a testing framework tailored to social care systems case management, safeguarding workflows, financial assessments).
- Ensure test plans cover statutory processes such as referrals, assessments, care planning, and reporting.
- Define methodologies for functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) with social care teams.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of testers and QA analysts.
- Project management of workstream and reporting on progress
- Coordinate with social care practitioners for UAT and scenario validation.
- Promote a culture of quality assurance and compliance.
Execution & Quality Assurance
- Oversee testing of core modules: case recording, safeguarding alerts, financial modules, and reporting dashboards.
- Validate compliance with GDPR, Care Act, Children Act, and local authority standards.
- Ensure defects are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with social care managers, developers, and business analysts.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements based on test results.
Tools & Automation
- Drive adoption of automated testing tools where feasible.
- Ensure compatibility with integrations NHS systems, finance platforms).
