Responsibilities
* Product Development Support: Assist in developing product concepts, formulations, and prototypes in collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain close and effective links between the Process, Development, Technical, Operations, and Continuous Improvement teams.
* NPD & EPD Management: Manage NPD and EPD development from handover to launch, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and deadlines.
* Factory Trials: Organise and manage all factory trials, providing feedback on any observations or concerns regarding new products / processes.
* Customer & Retailer Submissions: Support NPD with all customer and retailer submissions.
* Documentation Management: Organise and maintain essential documentation, including recipes, trial records, shelf-life data, and costings.
* Product Testing & Evaluation: Oversee product testing, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
* Critical Path Management: Ensure projects are completed in line with critical path to meet project deadlines.
* Team Support: Provide support to the NPD team in the overall execution of product development projects.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a food manufacturing or NPD environment.
* A passion for innovation, with a track record of developing standout products.
* Good communication skills and confidence in customer-facing interactions.
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent project management and organisational skills.
* Food Science Degree or equivalent (desirable).
Pay range and compensation package
* £28,000- £30,000 per annum
* Full-Time, Permanent
* Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 – 16:00 (flexibility required for occasional early starts/late finishes)
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)
