Title: Video Games Industry Events & Intelligence Agent (Part-Time / Freelance)
Type: Freelance contract / “Side Hustle”
Start: Summer 2025 (aligned with ChinaJoy and major events)
Languages: Mandarin (native) + English (proficient)
What’s This Role About?
Project 369 is a London-based creative and strategy group that works with game publishers around the world. We’re looking for a sharp, curious, and socially confident Agent in China who can attend games industry events (like ChinaJoy), talk to people, and bring back useful insights.
It’s a flexible, part-time role—great for someone who’s plugged into the gaming world and wants to build experience in international business, marketing, and publishing.
You won’t be stuck behind a desk. This is about being present at events, listening in on panels, picking up gossip, chatting with people from studios, platforms, or publishers—and reporting back with interesting leads, ideas, and observations.
What You’ll Do
Attend local game industry events on our behalf (e.g. ChinaJoy, GWB, TapTap, Tencent Meetups)
* Chat with publishers, developers, influencers, and execs—ask questions, take notes
* Keep your eyes and ears open for emerging trends, marketing campaigns, or new games being pushed
* Collect WeChat contacts, emails, business cards and inside scoops
* Deliver us short, well-written summaries of what you saw and heard – and what you think.
Who This Is For
You might be a student, early-career professional, or a freelancer already attending events — this is perfect for someone sharp, curious, and friendly, who wants a foot in the door with a new International games marketing group.
Experience & Qualities We're Looking For (but not a strict checklist)
We’re NOT expecting a long CV. But to succeed in this role, you should have:
* Smart judgment – You can figure out who’s worth talking to and what’s worth reporting.
* Games industry fluency – You understand games, marketing trends, studios, and what influences trends in China.
* Good written communication – You can write a simple but sharp summary of what happened at an event.
* Confidence at events – You’re happy chatting to people you don’t know and asking smart questions.
* International curiosity – You’re interested in how Chinese games can go global.
What You Get
Paid per event or task or based on time, travel, and output.
Direct contact and mentoring from the Project 369 team in London
A chance to grow your network in the games industry (especially with global publishers)
Experience that could evolve into a long-term BD or marketing role with us or our partners
Send us a short message or ideally a video about you. Tell us about any games industry trade events you’ve aware of, and what kind of games industry stories catch your interest. Bonus points if you send an example of a summary or report you’ve written (even just for fun).
