About the role:
Job Summary:
As we continue to grow outside of our London base, we are looking to recruit talented and dedicated professionals to join our growing team. Specifically, we are looking to bring on board an experienced Cleaner in Bradford.
Key Responsibilities:
To ensure that a high level of cleanliness is maintained throughout the College daily.
o To carry out cleaning duties as required, including sweeping, dusting, wall washing, toilet cleaning, mopping, spillages, and the use of vacuum cleaners.
o Use electrical and mechanical equipment, floor polishers, etc., when necessary and after appropriate training.
o Use stepladders when necessary and with due regard to the Health & Safety of themselves or others.
o Use approved cleaning materials in accordance with the manufacturers printed instructions and COSHH Regulations. (Chemicals should NEVER be mixed with other chemicals)
o To be responsible for the care of all cleaning equipment and materials assigned to them.
o Ensure windows and doors are closed and locked when leaving rooms.
o Report to the Premise Officer any defects seen, likely to affect security, i.e., broken
windows, window catches.
o To be aware of their responsibilities for the Health & Safety of themselves and others.
o Wear protective clothing provided. Additionally, shoes that are suitable for the work being carried out must be worn, e.g., slippers and flip flops are not acceptable as they may create a Health & Safety risk.
o To carry out any other cleaning duties from time to time within the grading of the post
Personal Specification:
o Be able to provide two references.
Working Hours & Flexibility:
o Part-time: 20 hours per week
o Flexibility required – schedule may include evening and weekend work
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
