Veterinary Surgeon – Medical bias considered – Salary up to £65,000
We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming team at Maidenhead Vets4Pets on a full time basis.
About us
The practice is run locally by Anthony, a certificate holder in surgery and Vet GDP Advisor who opened Maidenhead Vets4pets in 2015 and is now supported by 2.5 experienced vets, a new graduate, 6 RVNs including Head Nurse and Practice Manager Nikki and a 9 strong team of our student nurse, VCA and support colleagues.
“We have an incredible team of vets, nurses and receptionists and I am so proud of how the practice has grown since we opened in 2015. I hope the passion we have for animals comes across to everyone we meet”. Anthony Emley BVMedSci BVM BVS(Hons) MRCVS GPCert (SAS), Practice Owner
The practice
In the heart of the community and based in the thriving town of Maidenhead on the River Thames, facilities at our purpose-built practice include 3 consult rooms, operating theatre, preparation room, separate dog, cat and exotics wards and all the equipment you would expect from a leading GP practice, as well kitchen space for our colleagues.
The role and you
Our days are structured with 15-minute consults as standard, longer when needed, and time taken for lunch and admin also factored into the day. We meet weekly as a clinical team to discuss issues and how to progress our patient and client care and monthly as a whole team, with an open and flexible approach the rest of the time.
If you have a medical / consult bias that would be a benefit but if you’re looking for a great GP role, we can accommodate that too with a set rota each week, with ops days being organised with surgery in the morning and consults in the afternoon and consults days organised with consults and admin breaks throughout the day.
This rewarding position is a full-time role with minimal sole charge, working a 4-day week and with just 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9am-6:00pm.
The benefits
In addition to a rewarding role, we’re also offering:
1. Competitive salary up to 65,000 DOE
2. No OOH
3. Paid holiday of 28 days, rising to 33 days after 2 years of service
4. Paid professional memberships including RCVS and BVA
5. Generous CPD, including funding towards certificates
6. Life assurance 4 x annual salary
7. Contributory pension scheme
8. Relocation allowance (direct applicants only)
9. Cycle to work scheme
10. Colleague reward hub – exclusive offers and discounts online and on the high street
Location: SL6 1AY
Pets just see people. They aren’t biased and they don’t discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves so even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
