GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive school in Ashford. This role offers the opportunity to support pupils in their learning, help them achieve their potential, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
As a TA, you will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across the classroom. You will provide 1:1 or small group support, help with lesson delivery, and assist in fostering a safe and engaging learning environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support teachers in delivering lessons across various subjects.
* Provide additional help to individuals or small groups of pupils.
* Encourage positive learning behaviours and engagement in class activities.
* Assist in preparing resources, maintaining displays, and supporting classroom organisation.
* Observe and record pupil progress, sharing feedback with teaching staff.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
