At BMS, weve been engaged by a rapidly expanding packaging solutions business to recruit a Business Development Executive. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company renowned for its creative design, sustainability focus, and unique end-to-end service - from concept and print through to production and delivery.
The Company
Our client is an established packaging design and manufacturing company, recently acquired by a larger industry group and now entering an ambitious phase of growth.
Working with some of the UKs most recognisable and fast-growing consumer brands - particularly in food, cosmetics, and premium FMCG - they deliver high-quality packaging solutions that combine innovation with environmental responsibility.
Their recent acquisition has given them access to broader production capabilities and a larger client network, while maintaining their reputation as a creative, agile challenger in the market. With over 150 employees, they are now expanding their commercial function to continue their strong upward trajectory.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, your focus will be on generating and qualifying new business opportunities.
* Research and identify fast-growing, brand-led businesses across food, cosmetics, and D2C sectors.
* Conduct high-volume outbound outreach (80-100 dials per day) across phone, LinkedIn, and email.
* Use a targeted, consultative approach to engage decision-makers in Operations, Procurement, and Marketing.
* Book qualified meetings for senior sales representatives and join client calls to learn the process.
* Collaborate closely with design and account teams to ensure smooth handover of leads.
* Use social media and influencer-led marketing trends to spot new opportunities and brand launches.
Typical order values range from £50K to £1M, with meetings being your main metric of success.
The Candidate
Were looking for a proactive, enthusiastic individual who has:
* 1+ years of experience in business development or inside sales (any B2B sector).
* Strong phone-based sales skills and confidence in cold calling.
* A positive, can-do attitude with professional energy - confident but not pushy.
* The ability to research and target effectively, with a genuine curiosity for brands and design.
* Ambition to develop into a closing or account management role over time.
Experience in packaging or print is a plus, but not essential - what matters most is your drive and enthusiasm to build relationships and open doors.
The Package
* Basic Salary: £35,000-£45,000
* OTE: £50,000-£55,000
* Holidays: 25 days + 8 bank holidays
* Benefits: Pension, laptop, mobile, quarterly and annual bonuses
* Location: 3 days per week in Waterloo office
