Day to Day
You will assess up to four to five customers per day, taking clinical observations and questioning, then creating a written report which you will pass on to the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP), who will make a decision on support for the customer. Your report will be part of that decision. Customers report a 96% satisfaction rate at assessment.
Training
Customers will have multiple clinical issues. You will receive industry-leading training provided by my client's expert clinical tutors. The course will equip you with the skills to support customers and transfer your current skills to the role. Special focus is given to areas where you may feel you have gaps, particularly mental health and musculoskeletal issues.
Full training lasts approximately 6 months, during which you will be paid. This role will maintain your registration with the NMC as an RGN, with revalidation support provided.
Development
After completing training, your development continues. You will have ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours protected annually, support with revalidation, and opportunities for career progression within the organisation. You will be supported in maintaining your RGN/RMN/RNLD or Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and Paramedic skills, and in developing your clinical portfolio. These roles meet NMC and HCPC revalidation and reregistration requirements.
Requirements
* One year's post-registration experience with the NMC/HCP as an RGN/RMN/RNLD, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic, or overseas equivalent.
* Essential computer and IT skills.
* Typing ability at 40 words per minute.
