Our client based in Oxfordshire is seeking a commercially astute Commercial Manager to operate at the centre of complex, high-profile government programmes. This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead contract strategy, influence key stakeholders, and drive performance across multiple projects in a highly regulated environment. Responsibilities: Owning the full contract lifecycle for major government/defence programmes Leading complex negotiations, contract changes, and commercial strategy Ensuring compliance with SSRO, DSPCR & Procurement Act 2023 Managing profitability, cash flow, and financial performance Acting as the key commercial interface with stakeholders Supporting bids and identifying/mitigating commercial risk Requirements for the role: Degree in Business, Law, or similar Proven background in commercial/contract management within defence or aerospace Strong, hands-on experience with SSRO and UK government contracts Track record of negotiating complex agreements and managing contract financials Confident stakeholder manager with excellent communication skills Ability to handle multiple high-value contracts simultaneously Strong MS Office / GSuite capability Proactive, solutions-focused mindset You must have: Eligible for Security Clearance & DBS Right to work in the UK Willingness to travel Our client offers a competitive salary + comprehensive benefits, Private healthcare & strong pension.
