Land Agent / Rural Surveyor
Location: Oxford
Contract Type: Permanent
Our client is a well-established rural surveying and estate management practice with a strong presence across the East Midlands and beyond. They're seeking an experienced Land Agent / Rural Surveyor to join their team and help deliver expert advice to a diverse client base across rural property, agriculture and land management.
Position Overview
You'll build lasting client relationships whilst providing professional advice on rural property management, agricultural tenancies and land use. Your work will include conducting detailed valuations, advising on compulsory purchase and compensation matters, and supporting the wider land agency team on professional projects that make a real difference to clients' rural enterprises.
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain strong relationships with rural property clients
* Provide expert advice on agricultural tenancies and land management
* Conduct accurate and detailed property valuations independently
* Advise clients on compulsory purchase and compensation matters
* Support rural planning and development enquiries
* Produce clear, concise and accurate professional reports
* Assist the land agency team with professional work
Requirements
* MRICS qualified with 3 – 5 years post-qualification experience
* Proven experience in rural surveying roles
* Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
* Ability to produce independent, professional reports
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong negotiation and client relationship skills
* Full UK driving licence
* CAAV qualification preferred but not essential
