Financial Accountant – Biggleswade
We are looking for a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Finance department in Biggleswade. The role supports the success and profitability of Liebherr-Great Britain and Liebherr-Construction Equipment Ireland by producing accurate monthly, quarterly, half‑yearly, and annual financial reports.
In this position you will:
* Support Financial Management with corporate tax, VAT and statutory reporting.
* Report monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet information to the Liebherr Group.
* Monitor Treasury, analyze payments, plan payments and reconcile bank statements.
* Manage foreign exchange risk via hedging and monitor outcomes.
* Produce monthly rolling and long‑term cash‑flow forecasts aligned with Liebherr International deadlines.
* Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in line with Liebherr International policy and IFRS.
* Reconcile allocated balance sheet accounts accurately on a monthly basis.
* Assist with internal and external audit processes, providing information promptly.
* Manage and maintain the fixed asset register, including acquisitions and disposals.
* Process and monitor the Liebherr Investment Process (LIP).
* Submit Office for National Statistics (ONS) data in accordance with deadlines.
* Help maintain and develop the company Internal Controls System (IKS).
* Ensure satisfaction of Transfer Pricing in line with policy and structure.
* Provide assistance to other accounting and administration staff.
* Build relationships with colleagues and affiliated companies to deliver reports on time.
* Maintain a reputable reputation by ensuring legal compliance.
* Support other employees to help the business meet its targets.
* Deliver management information for informed decision‑making.
* Alert senior management to any issues or errors promptly.
* Identify system improvements and communicate suggested solutions.
Your Profile
* Minimum 3 years experience in a similar financial accounting role.
* AAT Level 4 Qualification or equivalent.
* Intermediate to high level Excel skills (look‑ups, pivot tables).
* Ability to work effectively in a pressurised environment.
* Experience with accounting software.
