The role
Quality Inspector
* 40 hours per week
* Permanent

Key Responsibilities
* Carry out inspection of materials, components, and finished fabrications prior to dispatch
* Ensure all work is completed in line with engineering drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
* Liaise closely with the design and engineering teams to resolve any quality or technical queries
* Compile and review quality documentation including material certificates, inspection reports, and traceability records
* Assist with the creation of quality packs for client handover where required
* Support internal and external audits where necessary
* Promote a right-first-time culture within the workshop
Health & Safety
* Demonstrate a positive attitude towards improving the culture in the workplace, stop and report any activity you feel might cause injury or damage, ensuring that everyone works safely at all times
* Adhere to all HSE related standards including fume control
* Ensure good house-keeping of work areas at all times
* Wear and maintain PPE at all times
Quality
* Support the company in maintaining and improving ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards
* Ensure full traceability of materials and components throughout the fabrication process
* Verify all documentation is complete and correct prior to dispatch
* Work closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement in quality standards
About you
* Previous experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or fabrication environment
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
* Experience with dimensional inspection and measuring equipment (verniers, micrometers, etc.)
* Knowledge of material certification and traceability requirements
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills when working with shop floor and office teams
