This role is to oversee the collection, collation, and distribution of assessment data (SATs, Teacher Assessments, MIDYIS Reading Ages, Spelling Ages KS2/3, KS3/4) both internally and between our partner KS2 and KS4 schools.
The role would suit an experienced and suitably qualified person who has experience of developing data systems and reports within an education setting, particularly within the Special Education sector. Many of our young people present with challenging behaviour, and we are looking for someone who can demonstrate strong empathy and ability to intrinsically connect with pupils with complex SEMH needs and lead in delivering a service that enables flexible data systems that capture pupils' progress against their starting points.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and Inspire: Analyse and interpret data (DfES, LEA, and internal) using databases to produce reports and recommendations for action.
2. Collaborate with Agencies: Work closely with LA colleagues, school leaders, and other external agencies to ensure compliance and effective data systems are in place.
3. Accountability: Prepare and monitor data reports, update and maintain the website, and manage MIS (Arbor).
4. Promote Inclusion: Demonstrate a commitment to inclusion, ensuring all pupils and staff members feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
* Several years of data management experience in a special school setting.
* Experience working with pupils with special educational needs in a secondary school, secondary pupil referral unit, or special school.
* Experience working with challenging pupils.
* Experience developing school reports, data analysis tools, and setting up and maintaining MIS.
* Knowledge of data legislation and county policy and procedures.
* Understanding and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
We value candidates who share our commitment to our values and will demonstrate this during the selection process. Reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with a disability.
