Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Chatham, Kent
Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 + car/travel & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major upgrade programme to a waste water treatment plant in Chatham, Kent. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, overseeing s number of subcontract packages and assisting with the development of a junior surveyor on the project.
Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors key main will include:
Working closely with the design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control costs
Managing the main contract to ensure contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as required
Preparation and issuing of subcontract documentation
Preparation of project cost and value reporting, budgets and forecasts
Assist with the management and development of junior commercial staff
Building long lasting professional relationships with the client and the supply chain

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working in a main contracting environment on civil engineering or major infrastructure projects. You'll also need a detailed understanding of either the NEC or FIDIC suite of contracts and first class communication skills.
