Your Role
* Deliver risk consulting assignments profitably with good feedback.
* Manage small consulting assignments where necessary.
* Support the development of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
* Support effective risk management services on projects and/or workstreams within larger projects, drawing on minimal input from Principals/Associates/Directors.
* Carry out the development and presentation of client risk management deliverables; engaging effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to mitigate threats and utilise opportunities.
* Support project leaders in the successful delivery of the project.
* Provide regular reports to project and risk managers on risk status of projects and programmes, advising on contingency management.
* Establish and coordinate register of risk management activities.
Your Team
* The WSP Risk Management Team is a standalone function working across multiple industries, internally with WSP design teams and externally with clients.
* The team includes risk professionals with diverse backgrounds and levels of seniority, based in offices across the UK and India, and collaborating with colleagues in North America and the Middle East.
* Collaboration and team working are second nature within the team, supported by regular Risk Community of Practice.
* The team actively seeks innovative ways of working and continuous improvement.
* We are engaged in projects across the UK, Africa, and Saudi Arabia in sectors such as highways, rail, aviation, energy, water, defence, waste, clean air, and active travel.
* Our clients are industry leaders, local enterprise companies, and local government organisations.
Qualifications
* Expertise in all aspects of project risk management facilitation.
* Experience building simple cost, schedule, and business risk models using ARM, Primavera Risk Analyzer, Safran Risk, Predict, and Xactium.
* Knowledge of risk management techniques.
* Knowledge of project management and project control processes.
* Experience on infrastructure projects in rail, energy, highways, aviation, defence, or utility sectors.
Desirable
* Degree qualified.
* Recognised diploma or degree, or qualification in risk management by experience.
* Membership of the Institute of Risk Management, Association for Project Management, Risk Practitioner, or other professional associations.
* Ability to work to own deadlines and under own initiative.
