We are working closely with a Hawes based client in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. You'll experience a collaborative and supportive working environment, coupled with beautiful landscapes and a picturesque commute.
They are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join them. You will have previous experience in a similar role, be AAT qualified of with suitable equivalent experience. If you are looking to start your CIMA or a part way through, you will be fully supported.
The role will include:
1. Helping to close production batches on time by working closely with teams across both sites to ensure materials are correctly matched to the finished products
2. Supporting the management accountant with preparing the weekly management accounts
3. Raising monthly purchase orders to ensure accurate values are reflected in the accounts
4. Assisting with setting up new products in the finance system and preparing costings to support potential new business opportunities
5. Keeping site teams on track with their stock cycle counts by providing regular progress updates
You will be:
6. Confident with PC tools, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Dynamics AX or similar manufacturing and cost accounting systems is helpful, but not required
7. Curious, proactive, and self-motivated—you are at your best in fast-paced environments
8. A quick learner who can meet deadlines and manage your workload effectively
9. A good communicator, both in writing and in person
10. Comfortable working independently and staying motivated without close supervision
11. A team player who’s happy to collaborate and work towards shared goals
