Full time and all year round.

Following the promotion of our well-established Director of Finance, Transform Trust is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious finance leader to join our team. This role is crucial in not only continuing to embed the strong financial stability we've achieved across our schools but also leading on future sustainability. The role reports directly to the CFO and is a key leadership role at the centre of the Finance Team. You will also join a diversely skilled team of Directors across Transform ensuring the Executive Team are operationally supported to achieve the Trust's strategic aims.
You will lead the delivery of our finance function - covering audit, financial reporting, systems, controls, and process improvement - ensuring our financial operations are robust, forward thinking, and aligned to our strategic goals. You will also line manage, professionally support and develop a team of finance professionals, helping drive improvement in the way our central services operate alongside our group of Directors.
We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge, effectively able to lead teams, and the credibility to influence at all levels - from school office teams and leaders to trustees. Equally important is a wish and desire to ensure every child in Transform benefits from effective financial management and understanding the key role we play in ensuring this happens.
Transform Trust is a Multi Academy Trust with over 9300 children and 1420 staff across 26 Primary Schools covering Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire. Essential skills required for the role:
* Qualified Accountant
* A Business Partnering or Divisional Finance background (sector knowledge is helpful but not essential)
* Communicating finance insights to non-finance professionals
* Competence on MS365 – ie, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel, Word
* In depth knowledge of leveraging value from financial systems
* Line management competency
