Requirements
The Role
We are seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to play a pivotal role in designing and building a modern, scalable lending platform. This role involves leading a team of engineers to develop high-quality, maintainable software that enables lending services across multiple European markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead technical projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
* Architect, design, and develop scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps.
* Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
* Ensure security, performance, and scalability best practices.
* Conduct code reviews and promote high coding standards.
* Champion tooling (including AI-powered tools) to enhance productivity.
* Manage, coach, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
* 8+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
* 2+ years of experience in team leadership and line management.
* Strong software architecture, database, and system performance optimisation expertise.
* Hands-on experience with Python, Django (or similar backend frameworks).
* Familiarity with React or similar frontend frameworks.
* Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure management.
* Knowledge of modern deployment practices (Serverless, Docker, Event-Driven Systems, CI/CD).
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
* Experience working with remote or hybrid teams.
Desirable Experience
* Working in regulated lending environments.
* Leading multinational software deployments.
