B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer

About the Opportunity
We’re working with a leading aviation services provider to recruit a B1.1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take the next step in their career.
This role is ideal for candidates either newly licensed or progressing toward their UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence, with funded training support available (subject to a bonding agreement).
You’ll play a key role in ensuring aircraft safety, compliance, and operational readiness across both base and deployed environments.
The Role
As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will:
* Support the Crew Chief and report to the Chief Engineer
* Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient aircraft maintenance
* Work across main base and deployed (UK & overseas) operations
* Contribute to engineering decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
* Mentor junior engineers and promote a safety-first culture
Key Responsibilities
* Certify aircraft maintenance in line with regulatory requirements
* Supervise aircraft ground movements
* Maintain accurate and timely technical documentation
* Coordinate maintenance tasks to meet operational targets and budgets
* Deputise for the Crew Chief when required
* Promote Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) and security standards
* Support operational deployments (UK & international)
Essential Requirements
* UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 Licence (unrestricted)
* (B1.3 or B2 ratings are advantageous)
* Strong understanding of aviation compliance and regulations
* Experience supervising or leading engineering teams
* Willingness to work shifts and deploy overseas
* Eligible for UK Security Clearance and ITAR compliance
* Medically fit for operational duties
