Position: Mobile Maintenance Electrician
Job Details
* Locations: Northampton, Peterborough, Cambridge, Milton Keynes (covers North London when on call)
* Working Hours: 42.5 hours per week
* Travel: 30 minutes East/Wales travel time
* Holiday: 26 days plus 8 days bank holidays
* Call‑out Retainer: £85 for 1–8 callouts (non‑frequent)
* Overtime: 1.5× Standard rate (engineers to schedule OT for fault‑finding/remedial work)
* Vehicle: Business use for van (idling allowed before/after work)
* Salary: Mid to low £40,000s (salary guidance pending)

Key Responsibilities
* Ensure Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices, keeping responsible sites fully compliant.
* Daily monitoring and responsibility of all main plant and equipment within buildings.
* Reactive attendance to emergency call‑outs, subsequent fault diagnosis and repair.
* Work on VRVs, Split Units, Chillers and Air‑Handling Units (AHUs).
* Implement Health and Safety procedures on site.
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and client representatives.
* Maintain the professional image of the company and promote its services.
* Supervise engineering subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
* Oversee the management of the on‑site CAFM and Concept systems, ensuring all PPM and reactive tasks are completed within SLA.
* Receive client issues and resolve them effectively without business disruption or compromising client relationships.
* Be prepared for inclusion on an out‑of‑hour call‑out rota.
* Great relationship with the client and availability to interview next week via Teams.
Key Requirements
* Hold a Level 2 NVQ in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (qualifications not essential).
* Hold a 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants Certificate (F‑Gas).
* Experience working with VRVs, Split Units and AHUs.
* General building maintenance experience.
* Proficiency in fault‑finding and repair.
* FGAS Qualified.
