A Manchester pupil referral unit invites applications from motivated KS1 Teachers to join a specialist team from January 2026. The KS1 Teacher will deliver condensed, high-impact KS1 lessons, run early intervention groups and help prepare pupils for return to mainstream classes. KS1 Teacher Responsibilities The KS1 Teacher will: plan and teach systematic phonics and small-step reading as the KS1 Teacher; design engaging, sensory-friendly learning activities as the KS1 Teacher; implement individual behaviour support plans and restorative practice as the KS1 Teacher; and contribute to multi-agency meetings and transition reviews as the KS1 Teacher. The KS1 Teacher will record and present evidence of progress in reviews taking place after January 2026. KS1 Teacher Requirements We are seeking a flexible and resourceful KS1 Teacher with QTS and experience of adapting teaching for children with SEMH or complex needs. The KS1 Teacher should be adept at working with support staff, building family relationships and committing to the January 2026 induction and start date.
