As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will be instrumental in supporting the development of children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). You will assist the class teacher in creating an engaging, supportive environment that enables children to build essential skills for their future learning. Responsibilities of an Early Years Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging EYFS lessons. Assist children in developing key early learning skills through play-based activities. Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment for all learners. Provide one-to-one or small group support for children, including those with additional needs. Promote positive behaviour and help with social and emotional development. Contribute to observations and assessments of children's progress. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil development. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure effective support for all learners. Follow school policies related to safeguarding, behaviour, and inclusion. Early Years Teaching Assistant (Early Years TA) Qualifications: Experience working with children in an Early Years setting is preferred. Must hold a Level 2 or 3 in Early Years qualification. A genuine passion for working with young children and their development. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively. Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
