Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team at Frontier, a renowned independent video game developer and publisher based in Cambridge, UK. The role involves maintaining high-performance infrastructure across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable IT solutions.
What You'll Be Doing
* Maintain and support internal IT systems to ensure high availability and performance.
* Collaborate with security teams to deploy and manage secure, compliant infrastructure.
* Monitor and tune systems to proactively address performance and reliability issues.
* Provide third-line support, resolving complex issues from diagnosis to resolution.
* Contribute to IT projects and change processes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* Document procedures and share knowledge across the team.
* Research and learn new technologies to stay up-to-date.
* Participate in out-of-hours support and maintenance when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Proven experience in managing complex IT infrastructure projects in a collaborative environment.
* Strong understanding of servers, networking, and system interactions.
* Experience with Windows Server (ADDS, DNS, DHCP, DFS), server virtualization, and SANs.
* Skilled in managing network switches, wireless APs, and Office 365 tools (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Intune, Teams).
* Comfortable working in a hybrid on-premises/cloud environment.
* Excellent analytical and prioritization skills.
Bonus Skills
* Experience with ITIL ServiceDesk tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
* Scripting skills in PowerShell and Python.
* Knowledge of Linux environments, preferably Ubuntu.
* Experience with containerization (Docker, ECS, K8s).
* Understanding of source control systems.
