An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to join a leading distribution business specialising in advanced composites and coatings for the marine leisure and defence sectors. This well-established company supports a wide range of technical clients and prides itself on delivering value throughout the supply chain.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in purchasing or stock control—whether from logistics, warehousing, or procurement—and ideally some familiarity with the boating or marine sector. With full training and support provided, it’s a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and grow your expertise in a fast-paced, technical industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the purchasing process by raising purchase orders, managing supplier information, and maintaining accurate procurement records
* Work with the technical team to ensure incoming stock meets quality standards
* Monitor stock levels and assist in producing inventory reports to support business planning
* Use inventory software to track stock, manage reordering, and help forecast future needs
* Communicate with suppliers to track orders, resolve issues, and build positive working relationships
* Assist in reviewing and improving procurement and inventory procedures as part of ongoing team development
* Collaborate with the operations and sales teams to ensure stock availability supports customer demand
