General duties
* Work with the CEO and Director of Nursing and Quality to lead the expansion of Teesside Hospice clinical services and develop new initiatives aligned with the hospice’s strategic plan, including:
o Assessing the feasibility and options for offering current hospice-based services within the community; developing these into deliverables and implementing them.
o Scoping, developing, and implementing plans (including funding options) to create a virtual ward for palliative and end-of-life care across Teesside.
o Assessing the feasibility of expanding the hospice’s services to include offerings for frailty and/or dementia.
o Building on existing commercial initiatives that expand emotional support and wellbeing offers to employers to generate income for the hospice.
o Taking an entrepreneurial approach to any opportunities for funded clinical service development.
* Engage and collaborate with other hospice departments and external partners to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of developed services.
* Ensure all developments are co-designed.
* Deliver agreed goals, objectives, and targets.
* Complete reports and progress updates as required.
* Work with Trustees and the Senior Management Team to deliver corporate objectives.
* Represent the hospice at regional and national levels, developing partnerships, sharing best practices, and integrating this knowledge within the organization.
* Manage your workload and personal development responsibly.
* Undertake other appropriate duties within your competence level and responsibility as required by the CEO.
* Occasionally work outside normal hours if needed.
* Behave professionally, adhere to all policies and procedures, uphold the values and ethos of Teesside Hospice, and promote a positive organizational image.
