Monarch Education is working alongside a primary school in Birmingham who are looking for a receptionist to join their team. This position is full time to start ASAP. The successful applicant must have worked in a school before and be confident with school based systems. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive school receptionist who is confident with greeting visitors, answering phone calls and managing front desk to ensure a smooth-running system.
Job Description

* Greet visitors, parents, students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
* Answer and direct phone calls, take messages and manage the school's communication system.
* Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes as needed.
* Manage the school's front desk, including handling inquiries and providing information.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and data entry.
* Maintain and update student and staff attendance records.
* Coordinate with school administration regarding appointments, deliveries and other logistics.
* Support school events and activities as needed.
* Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming.
* Follow school policies and procedures to ensure safety and confidentiality.
Requirements
* Must have previous experience working in schools.
* Experience using SCHOOL BASED SYSTEMS
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Knowledge of school management software or database systems.
* Friendly and professional demeanour.
* Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
* Problem-solving skills and patience.
