Great opportunity to join a rapidly growing Bio Tech business based in Cambridge is looking to bring its day‑to‑day finance function in house and is looking for an experienced finance professional to support this change.
Our client is a real success story for Cambridge having enjoyed significant growth in sales over the last 12 months and more new clients signed up for the next year. They offer hybrid working 2 days a week in the office in central Cambridge.
The purpose of this role is to support the Financial Controller in managing the day‑to‑day finance function. You will bring the core financial operations in house and ensure accurate and compliant reporting.
* Manage day‑to‑day financial operations, including purchasing, expenses and accounts payable/receivable
* Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records
* Maintain the general ledger and the trail balance
* Process payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance
* Support treasury activities
* Assist with month‑end close and support the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
* Assist with audits and liaise with external parties
* Identify and implement process improvements, including opportunities for automation
This is a small finance function and we are looking for someone who will be willing to get involved in a broad range of finance activities. You will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. You will have experience of managing finance operations from transaction processing through to trial balance.
£55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits
