POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently recruiting for a Casual Club Lounge Server to join our Club Lounge/In room Dining Team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa. The Club Lounge is an exclusive space for our VIPs to enjoy some drinks and canapés.
Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 and our One Square Restaurant and bar.
Club Lounge Server is responsible for opening and closing of the shift, order taking, serving and preparation of drinks/coffees items and to keep the Lounge neat and tidy at all times.
Essential Functions
1. Provide excellent guest service by discovering all of our guests needs and acting on these needs promptly, effectively and with confidence.
2. Ensure that guest expectations are exceeded and standards are consistently maintained.
3. Liaise and communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless transfer of information takes place.
4. To be fully conversant with all restaurant/hotels policies and procedures.
5. When fully competent, to take ownership of the Club Lounge and work with the Manager to make improvements.

6. Food & Beverage Service Experience required
7. Previous experience in a client facing role within a luxury five star environment a distinct advantage
8. Excellent written and spoken English
9. Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
10. Impeccable personal presentation
11. Ability to handle stress and cope with the pressures of the job as and when they occur
12. Ability to deal with and adapt to unexpected situations: complaints, change
13. Ability to motivate yourself at quieter times
