Teesside University is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate in Sustainable Chemical Engineering to join an exciting, externally funded project under the Northern Net Zero Accelerator programme. This role is part of the CalyChar Spin‑out project, which aims to develop and commercialise an innovative carbon‑negative material capable of capturing and permanently storing atmospheric CO2. The project focuses on advancing a laboratory‑validated concept into a production‑intent prototype and demonstrating its real‑world applications in agriculture and construction. You will work closely with academic researchers and industrial partners to deliver a cutting‑edge prototype system, generate performance data, and contribute to the development of a spin‑out company.
