A medical tuition provision in Weston-super-Mare working with Teaching Personnel is looking for a Maths Teacher who is highly committed to helping young people, many of whom have faced significant challenges due to health reasons such as chronic fatigue syndrome, anxiety (including EBSA), or recovery from serious illness, to achieve more than they might believe is possible.
The timetables are very personalised, and students are referred by their mainstream school with a letter of support from a senior health professional. The students are dual registered with their mainstream school, and the role is not a long-term placement.
The classroom sizes are small, with no more than 3 students supported by TAs. This role does not involve personal care.
The ideal candidate
* Is a Fully Qualified Teacher
* Is enthusiastic and able to engage children in their learning, with the aim of reintegrating them into mainstream education when they are well enough.
* Is confident, proactive, and understanding when working with children with medical conditions.
* Is comfortable teaching Maths to KS3 and KS4 students.

* Part-Time: Tuesday - Friday, during term time, 8:45 – 3:45
* Classroom size: 3 pupils, fostering strong relationships with students
There is substantial classroom support from TAs.
* Start: In September for the new academic year
* Pay: Paid to scale, weekly through PAYE

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanency at a later date.
