px Group has operated and maintained this Upper Tier COMAH installation since 2016. We are also the designated duty holder of the associated 32" FUKA and 30" SIRGE pipelines which supply the St. Fergus Gas Terminal. px Group has full accountability for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of both assets.
We work closely with our client, sharing the vision for this to be the terminal of choice for the region. We are committed to the ongoing technical and commercial development of the facility to ensure the business isn't just sustained, but continues to grow.
The Opportunity
We are now recruiting for a Operations Technician, The primary function of the role is to carry out plant operating tasks ensuring safe, reliable operation at all times while adhering to all px company procedures and policies
You'll be supported with personalised on the job training, coaching, mentoring and twice-yearly development and performance reviews to help maintain & develop your contributions and competence.
Key Responsibilities
* Completion of daily operator plant/equipment checks.
* Completion of Operational scheduled routines.
* Assurance of plant & equipment performance criteria, isolation integrity, process stability, & process optimisation.
* Carry out first line maintenance on all plant equipment.
* Preparation for and implementation of plant start up and shut down

Minimum Requirements
• ONC/NVQ level 3 / PPO 1,2, & 3. or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Working in and contributing to a 24/7 continuous process, production or operations environment.
• Responsibilities to include: Taking readings, sampling, monitoring of plant areas & emissions, fault finding, problem solving, continuous improvement, following procedures & processes and house-keeping.
• Plant/process shut down & start up in normal /abnormal operations.
• Working a 24/7 shift pattern.
