We are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer/ Fitter to join a leading manufacturer who supply to the electrical industry. Job Description:Your duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power units along with the wiring and assembly of components for the marshalling department from scratch.You will prepare work by studying assembly instructions, reading and interpreting electrical layout drawings and schematic wiring, parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials.You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassembliesCrimping, looming and cable terminating work on control panelsGlanding and terminating various SWA cablesCutting and fitting tray work to run cables on productsSolderingYou will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers' requirements.You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works orderPerformance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems shortages or equipment breakdownUsing general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting roleCompletion of work within allocated time scales.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications: Hands on experience of electrical assembly and wiring of control panels is essentialHand on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential.Cable end termination experience (Crimping/soldering) is essentialHold electrical qualifications and have knowledge of electrical regulations is essentialThe ability to understand electrical schematic drawings is essentialHave good written and verbal communication skillsExperience of working collaboratively with other operations personnelIdeally experience of working within a continuous improvement environmentStrong attention to detailGood communication skillsFlexibility to assist in other departments when requiredAdditional Details:Salary negotiable25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidaysCompany Profit Share SchemeTwo paid breaks37.5 hour weeks - days onlyNine-day fortnight (every other Friday off)Healthcare cash planExcellent canteen facility with tea, coffee and milk providedEV salary sacrifice schemePensionParking on site
