Our nationwide Trenching and Shoring division hires a range of equipment across the construction, utilities, and infrastructure industries to identify the correct solution to support excavations safely using trench boxes, trench sheets, and braces systems.
Reporting directly to the Head of Trenching & Shoring, the Technical Sales Engineer will be responsible for maximizing Trenching & Shoring hire revenue opportunities from existing major account customers and winning new business. This includes delivering sales presentations to our major account customers at a senior management level and attending depot/customer trade days to promote our product offering. The TSE will also collaborate with various stakeholders across the GAP Group network, including Regional Sales Managers and their teams, to proactively promote hire opportunities for Trenching & Shoring equipment within their existing customer base.
About You
Successful candidates should demonstrate the following:
* Significant experience working in a sales role within the Temporary Works/Trenching & Shoring/Hire industry is essential.
* A proven track record in exceeding sales targets and generating revenue growth by maximizing opportunities from existing customers and winning new business.
* Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload.
* Proficient in MS Office packages including Excel and Word, and CRM systems.
* Driving Licence (Essential).
