Business Support Officer Grade 4 – Supporting Adoption Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen.
About the Role
Provide outstanding administrative support to operational staff and managers within the Education and Children’s Directorate. This role supports adoption services across Lancashire, Blackpool and Blackburn with Darwen and involves coordinating office tasks, managing information, and communicating with managers, social workers, families and the public.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver efficient administrative support to adoption operational staff.
* Manage databases and Microsoft Office applications.
* Provide clear communication and advice to managers, social workers, families and members of the public.
* Coordinate office tasks and support flexible working arrangements, including home and office days.
Qualifications
* Experience working in an administration setting.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and database systems.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to listen to individual requirements.
* Passion for delivering excellent service and willingness to seek support when needed.

Additional Details
Permanent full‑time role (37 hours per week). Not open to international sponsorship.
Work location: County Hall, Preston PR1 8XJ. Office days are Tuesday and Wednesday; remaining days may be worked from home with suitable broadband connection.
