ROLE SUMMARY: EMEA GSC Excellence, Sustainability & Tender Lead is a critical role responsible for maximising business value through the successful delivery of key transformation initiatives across the EMEA region. This position will provide strategic oversight and governance for high-impact transformation projects aligned with EMEA GSC strategies and priorities. Key Responsibilities: Lead and govern EMEA GSC transformation initiatives focused on cost optimisation, productivity improvement, and operational excellence driving value through streamlined, automated and more efficient regional supply chain operations. Regional Sustainability initiatives including deployment of the global GSC sustainability program into the region Drive tender Excellence, establishing cross-regional governance for CI initiatives to improve supply chain KPIs impacted by the dynamics of tender driven business. Champion Continuous Improvement (CI) by overseeing regional CI programmes, ensuring harmonised processes, ROI focus and an integrated approach across the EMEA clusters. Lead Supply Chain External Policy PCT in collaboration with Corporate Affairs to mitigate risks arising from evolving EU and national supply chain regulations. Drive IMEX & Operating Excellence across all functions in the EMEA Platform Services team People Management including line management of EMEA Sustainability and Project Management Team This role demands strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage complex projects in a dynamic and demanding environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of supply chain excellence across EMEA. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: EMEA GSC Transformation initiatives Provide leadership for critical EMEA transformation programmes (e.g., LNS, EMAP, Distribution and other strategic business initiatives impacting the supply chain), ensuring alignment with regional and global priorities. Drive value creation by shaping and implementing efficiency and productivity programs that delivers performance improvements across the EMEA region. Oversee strategic implementation of supply chain and business transformation projects, ensuring integration with organisational objectives and measurable impact on key performance indicators. Develop and institutionalise comprehensive playbooks and transformation frameworks to guide markets through complex change programmes, fostering consistency, scalability, and operational excellence. Regional Sustainability initiatives Accountable for the deployment of the global GSC sustainability program into the region, develop and deploy regional sustainability initiatives and programs to complement the global strategy. Support markets to establish leadership in a sustainable supply chain, including communication and engagement plans internally and externally. Maintain governance and oversight of project management resources, optimising allocation and ensuring delivery of high-impact initiatives. Tender Excellence Lead the assessment and quantification of tender impacts on EMEA GSC KPIs, driving Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to optimise performance and minimise adverse effects. Partner with Digital teams to design and implement automated tender reporting solutions, embedding these into Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Tier 1–4 Visual Management processes for enhanced visibility and decision-making. Direct advanced tender analytics to inform strategic business decisions, optimise resource allocation, and strengthen organisational responsiveness to market dynamics. Drive cross-functional collaboration to establish robust tender governance frameworks, ensuring alignment across all organisational stakeholders and compliance with best practices. Escalate structural constraints and systemic risks to EMEA Supply Chain Operations leadership, influencing strategic interventions and long-term capability building Champion Continuous Improvement Design and implement a robust governance framework for CI Leads across EMEA, ensuring horizontal alignment, accountability, and consistency of transformation practices throughout the region. Provide executive oversight of all CI initiatives, driving prioritisation based on strategic impact, ROI, and alignment with organisational objectives to maximise value delivery. Partner with the EMEA Digital Lead to secure funding for high-impact digital and automation initiatives, championing innovation and embedding technology-driven solutions into CI programmes for sustainable performance improvement. Supply Chain External Policy PCT Lead Supply Chain External Policy Process Centric Team (PCT) that is leading efforts to shape Supply Chain External Policy through cross-functional collaboration with Corporate Affairs, EFPIA, Vaccines Europe and other stakeholders. Coordinates supply chain input and develop proactive mitigation strategies for emerging EU and national policies impacting supply chain, ensuring organisational readiness and compliance across the EMEA region. Represent and support EMEA GSC leadership in external engagements, including industry associations, EMA ISPOC requests, and other strategic forums, strengthening the organisation’s influence and thought leadership. IMEX & Operating Excellence across all functions in team Ensure EMEA Platform Services’ core processes are established and documented as per IMEX standards. Drive operational excellence and IMEX across all responsibility areas of the Platform Services team Lead the regular T3 performance review process. Ensure robust T1 to T4 visual management processes for the processes under the team’s scope Support colleague developmental efforts and participate actively in global GSC Communities of Practice to share and leverage best working practices review through Category PCT ecosystem Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy for Platform Services, driving clarity, alignment, and stakeholder engagement People Management Provide leadership and line management for sustainability and project management focused resources, ensuring clear objectives, performance accountability, and professional development. Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across sustainability and PMO functions QUALIFICATIONS: Technical skills BS/BA Degree required. Preferably in the fields of Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering or alike Strong experience in the fields of Supply Chain, Customer Service and Logistics in the Pharmaceutical industry. Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain and manufacturing operations and end to end global product flows Experience in leading complex transformational projects with full cross-functional implications (Legal, PX, Digital, Procurement, Quality etc.). Exceptional Project Management capabilities and knowledge of Pfizer Project-based Ways of Working Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to prepare and present complex business cases to sr. leadership; confident with leading presentations and landing a narrative Experience in the understanding of final customer requirements and work in partnership with Finance, Security, Commercial and supply chain teams. Strong Process Excellence, CI and Lean knowledge and SME level knowledge of IMEx ecosystem Experience leading in S&OP processes with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other business functions. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships to support proactive outputs toward project success and driving decisions and change in cross-functional teams.
